“Even though you got to see Rio 2 early, will you still take us when it comes out in theaters?” asked my oldest when I returned home from the world premiere in Miami. Without hesitation I answered absolutely!

Our family loved the adventures of Blu getting to know Jewel in the first Rio and I know my kids are anxious to see what happens next in Rio 2. I look forward to them experiencing the adventures of the two Blue Spix Macaws and their family as they journey to the wilds of the Amazon where they reconnect with loved ones and a villainous Nigel who seeks revenge.

Jewel (Anne Hathaway) and Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) are back along with some of the original creatures voiced by Will i am, Jemaine Clement, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Mann, George Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, and Jamie Foxx. But the original critters meet a new menagerie of characters voiced by Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar/Emmy/Tony-winner Rita Moreno, Grammy winner Bruno Mars, Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth, and newscaster Natalie Morales. 

In honor of Rio 2 hitting theaters today, Twentieth Century Fox has provided a movie prize pack for one winner. The prize pack contains:

  • $25 Visa gift card to see the film in theaters
  • Rio 2 Plush
  • Beach Ball

    I look forward to Anne Hathaway’s character because I saw her being interviewed about the film and liked her character’s backstory.
