Even though summer is here, many families are already dealing with some school anxiety in anticipation of the coming year. One source of anxiety for tweens who transition from elementary to middle school is lockers. Troublesome locks on and the short amount of time between classes can make some kids dread having to store their belongings in lockers. This summer take some time to help your soon-to-be middle school student select a lock so they can practice over the summer.
My picks for easy to use locks are the Master Lock Set Your Own Combination Locks. Our elementary aged kids like the Master Lock 1535 D Combination Padlock ($10.40) that features letters to create a customized work as your combination. They also like the directional movements of the 1500iD Speed Dial Combination Lock ($13.39) because it’s fast to unlock a locker using up/down/left/right directional movements than twisting the dial of a traditional combination lock. Both the Master Lock 1535D and 1500iD are favorites because the easy to operate locks hat keep belongings secure.
This summer Master Lock wants to give your family a chance to win easy to use locks that will help keep your belongings secure whether you’re using them at home, school, the gym, or to lock bikes during summer rides.

The locker I used was built into the wall unit. I recall it being fairly easy to use, but it would occasionally get stuck. These new locks sure look nice!
it was a chrome and black lock that had a three number code to unlock; it was typical of the time, many years ago 🙂
We had combination locks issued by the school. It was pretty easy to use.
My Lock Was Built Into My Locker In School, It Would Always Stick And Was Difficult At Times To Open.
My school lockers all had simple locks build into the structure. They said each was changed at the start of the school year, but then you would find people who saidd they could open their last year’s locker. I had enough trouble remembering the combination for the current year.
A combination lock. It was easy once you remembered the combination.
i used a combo lock and it was sometimes a pain
My locker was the dial combination lock you had to remember the number given and be right on that small little line or it won’t open, but today you can make your own lock combo and that is a huge help not to forget I think it’s snazzy, kinda wish I was in school again lol.
I used a combo lock while I was in school, it was easy to operate, probably too easy.
I had a combination lock and it was easy to use.
I used a combination lock and liked it. But now I have nightmares of not being able to open it.
We always used combination locks and it was easy as long as you remembered the code or weren’t in a hurry!
