With an eagle eye for anything that comes to our home for review, my son immediately spotted the Wubble Bubble Ball box. “Looks like a bubble, plays like a ball?” he read aloud. “What IS this and when do we get to open it?” Formerly an as-seen-on-TV exclusive, the Wubble Bubble Ball is now available at Target stores ($19.99 each) and could be the novel item that your family needs for outdoor fun to last until school starts again.
Measuring 3 feet across, the Wubble Bubble looks like a ball but really does behave like a bubble, floating and bouncing like a blown up bubble would but it’s a far more durable version that can handle rough and tumble play. Sit on it, squish it, toss it, and kick it. The Wubble Bubble may seem like something to be gentle with when you first pull it out of the box but it’s quite sturdy. Wubble is so confident that their product will last through play that it’s backed with a lifetime guarantee.
The Wubble Bubble Ball starts out small and inflates thanks to the included battery operated pump that unfortunately doesn’t come with its own batteries. You’ll need to have 4 D batteries on hand or pilfer them from other household items. After you find the right batteries for the pump, it may be trickier than you imagine to inflate your Wubble. Tip: Before you attempt inflating it, watch the EpicReviewGuys’ YouTube Wubble Bubble Ball Review for tips!
Despite it being made out of a sturdy materials and having the ability to wash it when it gets dirty, Wubble reminds consumers that they’re not completely indestructible. Here are a few things Wubble tips for care of your bubble ball via their Please Read This First PDF.
- Smaller is better. Filling it past 30” could pop it. Wubble reminds parents that a smaller Wubble is stronger but if you do pop it, the company’s replacement guarantee covers a new one.
- Keep it shady. leave it outside in the direct sun. Heat that gets trapped inside a Wubble makes it hot and fragile. Store your Wubble inside or in the shade.
- Don’t play with it near sharp objects. Tree branches and rough surfaces like gravel will pop or damage it.
