We’re a family that loves music but one of our pet peeves is listening to the songs we love on sub-par speakers that distort sound. High quality speakers don’t have to break the bank but they are a good investment for music lovers. Since it’s important for our young music lovers to experience sound as it’s meant to be played, we’re willing to invest in audio equipment that will deliver the sound we want in our home.
But how do you know how music will sound when looking at a speaker inside a box at a store?
Honestly, it’s hard to tell. The best way to know is to listen for yourself. If you’re at a friends’ house and are listening to great music, ask them what they have in their home. Or go to a place where there’s a separate room for trying out audio equipment.
One place where you want to head this month is your local Best Buy for August Audio Fest. Best Buy is gathering the best offers on the best audio products throughout the entire month to help you upgrade your home entertainment experience with deals, audio specials, events, and more on components, speakers, and headphones to help you love the way you listen.
One thing you’ll want to try while at Best Buy is the HEOS 5 by Denon, a multi-room sound system that allows you to stream audio from online music services, internet radio like Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, etc., and playlists from your own music collection on your mobile devices via a free app.
The HEOS by Denon app makes it easy to set up your HEOS right out of the box and listen to music in minutes. The easy to use interface allows you to control what you want to listen to in any room in your home where you have Denon HEOS speakers. You can listen to the same song throughout your home or purchase multiple units and connect them to the same device to listen to the same or different music in each room that has a HEOS.
Remember how I said we’re audio snobs and don’t settle for sub-par speakers? There’s nothing sub-par about the Denon HEOS line. The sleek HEOS 5 delivers rich audio out of a sleekly designed mid-sized speaker that is lightweight and doesn’t take up a lot of room yet allows you to hear every nuance of your music whether you want to fill the room with sound or have it play in the background.
Having the HEOS 5 makes me want to expand our system. Denon has three different size speakers in the HEOS line: HEOS 3, HEOS 5, and HEOS 7. I received the HEOS 5 ($399.98), a mid-size model that ideal for medium to large rooms like dining rooms, large bedrooms, offices, or small living rooms. Go bigger with the HEOS 7 ($599.98) for a wireless speaker that is perfect for = living rooms, the backyard, or in homes with connected great rooms configurations where the living room and kitchen blend together. The HEOS 3 ($299.98) is the smallest of the trio and designed for bedrooms, offices, or kitchens.
I received a HEOS by Denon as compensation for this post but all opinions are my own.
Wow I want one of these lol!
