13 Favorite Father’s Day Gifts for Dad

For dads who want to take their sport to the next level, Zepp sensors help baseball, soccer, golf, and tennis players maximize performance thanks to connected devices that provide feedback about training. Zepp attaches to the bat, glove, and racquet so the sensor can take your sports game to a whole new level. The Zepp sensor provides actionable data and analytics that give players and coaches unprecedented insights to improve their coaching and practicing routines. The Zepp 3D Swing Analyzer allows elite players to take advantage of the Zepp 3D Swing Analyzer to improve their training and game performance. Through the exclusive mobile Coaches Center or on Zepp.com, coaches at all levels can access Zepp’s entire library of coaches content, completely free. Rowkin Earbuds ($129.99)

Rowkin earbuds are proof that good things come in small packages and these earbuds are not only tiny (they look like little dots inside your ear), but they feature noise reduction, echo cancellation technology that filters ambient noise for better sound, and work with your smartphone at a distance of up to 25 feet away so you can really go cord free when listening to your favorite music or podcasts and taking calls. One touch connectivity means no fumbling when you need to answer a call quickly, integration with Siri and Google Voice Assistant provides a wireless stereo experience, and the enhanced battery provides up to 3 hours of listening time or 2 hours of talk time before dad will need to recharge. Rowkin Earbuds charge in their own compact case that protects them in dad’s backpack, laptop bag, or pocket and they’re also splash and water resistant.

Huawei Watch 2 ($369.99 from Amazon and Best Buy)

Help dad stay connected to the people and things he cares about most with the Huawei Watch 2. This new Titanium Grey smartwatch features a versatile design for all of dad’s life moments from the office to the gym and everywhere in between thanks to a sweat resistant hybrid leather/rubber band, long-lasting battery, Google Music compatibility and advanced fitness tracking. Huawei Watch 2 also measures daily activities by keeping track of number of steps, duration of medium and high-intensity exercise, and stand-up times. It closely monitors the user’s activity and sends smart reminders to stand up or begin exercising, and will remind users of their daily fitness targets when seated for too long. With fast-charging technology, dad’s Watch 2 can go from zero to 100%  in less than an hour to help him maintain his busy lifestyle.

Nixplay Seed Digital WiFi Frame ($169.99)

Over the years I’ve looked at a lot of digital picture frames and while there’s still a wide selection available, the best ones integrate to your home décor and make it easy to share pictures like Nixplay. Perfect for grandfathers and favorite uncles who adore your kids but also for recent empty nesters who have kids off at college, Nixplay Seed keeps your family nearby thanks to the ability to send photos to the frame from anywhere in the world thanks to its wifi connection. For example, a dad who has put their oldest daughter on a cross country flight to Washington, D.C. for a school trip can receive a photo of her adventures to his Nixplay frame on his bedroom nightstand. She would just send photos from her phone or social media accounts to the Wi-Fi connected frame for dad to see, making it fun to stay connected over the miles. When gifting Nixplay, be sure to upload photos to his frame before he unwraps the gift. Nixplay Seed frames are available in 4 colors: black, blue, mulberry, or mango.

Google Home (regularly $129.99 but on sale for $109.99 at Best Buy)

If dad could use some help from time to time, Google Home could be his new best friend who can tell him the weather, current traffic conditions for his commute, keep track of his schedule to let him know when to leave for the airport, play his favorite music, read him step by step instructions to cook a special meal, and so much more. New functionality is always being added to Google Home and we hear hands-free calling is coming soon! With the ability to support up to 6 accounts, Google Home can be a useful tool for families too be we understand if dad wants to keep Google Home all to himself.

55″ RCA 4K UHD LED TV ($399 from BJ’s)

I know you’re wondering if a 4K RCA TV could be as good as big name brands and the answer is yes. I wrote about this television in my Mother’s Day Gift Guide when BJs had them on sale and after using ours for the last month to watch 4K and regular content, the answer is yes. RCA’s 4K UHD LED televisions deliver an incredible viewing experience on a huge screen which goes to show that sometimes you really do pay a lot for the brand name.

Roku Smart TV ($299 for the 43” one from Best Buy)

How Roku TV Helps You Stream Content to Cut Cable on TechSavvyMama.com

Help dad cut the cord to cable with a Roku Smart TV. He’ll enjoy the ability to access Amazon, Google Play, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Plex, Sling, HBO Go, and all the other basic cable apps. It also comes with an easy to use remote, and great picture quality. For the ultimate gift, Roku Smart TV setup is easy so he can watch favorite shows faster. For more information, read my full review: How Roku TV Helps You Stream Content to Cut Cable.

Sanus TV Mounts and Anti-Tip Straps

In addition to the fancy new TV you’re gifting dad, get him the right mount for the ultimate viewing experience that will also help keep little ones safe. TVs can fall with the force of thousands of pounds and causes 15,000+ ER visits each year. Since TV tip-over injuries are real, Sanus TV mounts and anti-tip straps provide the best solution for reducing TV tip-overs and can be safely used with any brand of TV. To find the mount that has been safety tested to hold its advertised weight capacity, use the Sanus MountFinder to determine which one is right for your TV.

Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 (starting at $800)

Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 front view

If you’re looking to get dad a stylish and powerful machine that can be used for working at home and as a family machine, the Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 is what you’re looking for. This sleek desktop machine is a 23.8” all-in-one PC with a 6th-generation Intel Core i5 processor and 16 GB of RAM that runs a full-featured operating system. It is a workhorse for editing videos, sorting thousands of family photos, or doing any home or even work project, making it powerful enough for work and perfect for home.

CaliCase (starting at $14.99)

Since it’s hard for us to live without our smartphones, help protect dad’s device from water, sand, dust, and more with the help of a CaliCase phone case. CaliCase makes waterproof glow in the dark pouches that fully encase your phone to protect it from water that could come from wet pool towels, a leaky water bottle, or damp swimsuits. The glow in the dark feature is nice for nights at the pool when you’re leaving as the sun goes down and want to locate your phone in the depths of your pool bag quickly. CaliCase also makes inflatable waterproof phone cases that are perfect for summer adventures like sailing, canoeing, or rafting where you might need your phone but a trip overboard would send it to the depths below. A floating waterproof case is a smart idea to ensure that your phone stays afloat even if it does go overboard.

Monster Firecracker ($129.95)

Monster Firecracker joins the Monster line of portable Bluetooth speakers (original Monster Blaster, BackFloat, and Hotshot) but what sets this latest addition apart from the rest is three high-performance internal speaker drivers in a compact package that delivers big, bold sound in any environment, a high intelligibility mic for use as a speakerphone, a powerful built-in flashlight, plus a lightweight, easy-to-carry carabiner clip and rain-or-shine weatherproof enclosure. Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day Today we’re celebrating National Rescue Dog Day because we’re so glad Goldie and Murphy are part of our family! 🐶 We gave Goldie her forever home when she was 6 months old. She had been given up by her original family because she was just too much for them. She was an enthusiastic pup who loved to jump straight up in the air when she got excited and she used to hop the fence in the mornings to go visit her best dog friend, Katy, over our back fence. She still jumps from standing when she sees a deer, meets a favorite dog friend, or gets a visit from @lisatasch but now at age 5, she’s more calm and forever faithful. 🦮We met Murphy and his 9 brothers and sisters just days after he was born although we didn’t know he would be the puppy we’d claim as ours. Murphy has that puppy energy but in his quiet moments is a total love bug. He hogs the free space in our king bed (he even has his own pillow!) and loves nothing more than to press his body into me or lie directly on me. 🐾 Goldie and Murphy came to us through @labrescuelrcp and we couldn’t be happier that they’re part of our family! ❤️ #rescuedogday #labrescue #labrador #adoptdontshop
After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hos After 3 days at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, I’m leaving Memphis so very grateful to be able to support St. Jude’s mission of working to end childhood cancer. ❤️ Spending time connecting, brainstorming, and absorbing the wisdom of fellow Hero Ambassadors from around the country was inspiring because the work we do fundraising through our endurance events helps St. Jude do the incredible work they do to ensure families never receive a bill for their child’s treatment, housing, travel, or food and continue important research that will continue to reduce rates of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. I am so looking forward to running in Memphis again this December! 🎉 If you’ve ever thought of running a race that does so much good in the world, join me! I’d love to have you come to Memphis and run with me! Or you can always donate through the fundraising link in my bio. ❤️ #stjude #stjudeheroes #memphis #stjudedmv

When we bought our house 24 years ago, it came wit When we bought our house 24 years ago, it came with many things we didn’t love like rotted porch boards, 1 bathroom, and peeling paint (inside and out!) but it also came with things we did love like old, mature trees, crazy shaped boxwood bushes, and these spectacular peonies! 🌸 Every year when they bloom I’m so glad that these beauties conveyed with the purchase of our house and I’m glad we rebuilt our porch so we can step out our front door to admire them in their glory! 🩷#peonies #peonyseason #garden #blooms #spring
As a teacher and parent, I am well aware of the me As a teacher and parent, I am well aware of the mental health challenges our youth face and am really pleased to share that over the weekend I became certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing! 🎉 I’ve always worked to build relationships with the young people in my life- whether my kids’ friends or students- and this certification has made me more mindful of the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges so I can have important and supportive conversations when symptoms first start to appear. 🗣️A big component of the training also included developing a self-care plan which is critical when supporting others. 💕 I’m so grateful to have taken this certification for free through the University of Maryland whose blended learning format (2 hours of self paced online work + 5 hour instructor led class over Zoom) was fantastic! 💻 The teacher in me really applauds the course design and I’m glad to join the 3 million+ in the U.S. certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. 🏥 If this is something you’re interested in doing, University of Maryland has free courses on Saturdays or Sundays from 10-4pm between June-October. Swipe ⬅️ for more information, including a QR code with more information and a survey to take as part of the sign up process. And if you have any questions- leave a comment or DM me. I’m happy to help you get certified too! ❤️ #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthfirstaid #youthmentalhealth #mentalhealthawarenessmonth
