Even though I used the example of saying “Alexa, goodnight” to ensure doors are locked, a simple voice command can trigger a collection rules to activate your smart home products as you turn in for the night. I love how you can create a single command such as “Alexa, goodnight” to turn off the lights, close the blinds, adjust the thermostat, and also ensure your doors are locked.
Energy Efficient Comfort
When we’re heading home from a weekend of skiing or leaving the airport back from summer vacation, we open our smart thermostat app before we walk in the door to check the temperature of our home and adjust it accordingly.
Chapman Row residents don’t even have to open an app to adjust the temperature when you walk in the door. Simply say, “Alexa, set Family Room temperature to 68 degrees” and she’ll adjust the temperature accordingly. “Do you have any cardboard boxes?” our neighbor texted, hoping to raid our cardboard stash for her son’s skee ball project. The perfect box had just arrived and was sitting in our front hall but we were away for the weekend.
Had we lived at Chapman Row, I could have let my neighbor in remotely to grab the box thanks to the Schlage Sense App. Through the app, I could have tapped to unlock our door long enough for her to come in and grab the box before securing our home again.
