What do you get the person who seems to have everything? Something for their dog, of course! Fur babies are family and if you’re a dog lover like I am, any of these gifts would be welcome by dog parents and the dogs themselves.
Best Gifts for Dog Lovers
This year’s Best Gifts for Dog Lovers and the Dogs They Love feature favorite products tried and tested by us, Goldie (5 year old Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix), Murphy (21 month old Chocolate Lab pup), and some were favorites of our first dog Oliver. Below you’ll find the tastiest treats for the pickiest pup, amazing apparel for the humans that love them, a way to soothe your anxious four legged love, and my favorite this year- a custom pet portrait. Spoiler: I got a portrait of our dogs American Gothic style and absolutely love it!
Lord of the Pets Custom Pet Portraits (from $70)
Turn your dog into a Renaissance royal, movie hero, mischievous villain, or classic work of art like I did with our two dogs thanks to Lord of the Pets. Lord of the Pets offers amazing custom pet gifts in the form of pet portraits, movie posters, magazine covers, mugs, photo blankets, throw pillows, and more all featuring your dog’s face plus it could not be easier to work with this company!
To order, I selected American Gofetch from the page of two pet portraits, uploaded photos of our dogs, and Lord of the Pets sent back the proof above to approve within 24 hours. My custom pet portrait arrived about a week later and I’ve been absolutely thrilled with it ever since. The art history nerd in me adores the portrait of our two dogs as the new American Gothic which hangs in my office so it can be fully appreciated daily. Use the code tech20 for 20% off your order.
Dutton Ranch Dog Co Treats (from $11.99)
Beef liver, beef ribeye, beef brisket, beef burnt ends, and more will have your dog salivating and on their very best behavior. Inspired by Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch Dog Co Treats has 12 varieties of premium, certified organic beef treats sourced from humanely raised cattle that even the pickiest dog will love. They’re made without artificial flavors, colors or preservatives for a true wild and authentic experience your dog will love. I love that the treats feature limited or single ingredients, so your dog gets meat as their canine ancestors would have enjoyed. Our two dogs give Dutton Ranch Dog Co Treats eight enthusiastic paws up!
Ski Lift Dogs Graphic T from JCrew ($19.50, normally $49.50)
Skiiers who love their dogs will appreciate the gift of this adorable long sleeve light blue T featuring a trio of dogs in winter wear and doggles (dogs in goggles!).
The Lab Performance Polo from RhoBack (on sale for $78, regularly $98)
Shhh don’t tell my husband but The Lab polo from Rhoback is on order and will be under the tree for him! Any lover of Labradors will love this blue polo featuring a black Lab print. It’s made of breathable fabric with moisture-wicking and four-way stretch technology to keep him cool and ready to move. With a crisp collar that holds its shape, wrinkle-free material, and UPF sun-protection, these polos are made to be worn on the course or around town. Designed with a sharp comfort fit it can also be worn untucked or tucked.
Dog People Pens by Milk Toast Brands ($11.59)
If you’ve ever wondered if your dog owner friend was busy or just wanted to hang out with their dog, this set is for them! As a mom to two dogs, I identify with each of the sayings on this 5 pen set and most other dog owners will too!
Cooling Comforter from MomCozy ($96 for full/queen after $53 coupon of regular price of $149.99)
We have a 2-year-old Chocolate Labrador who sleeps in between me and my husband in our Cal King bed. This dog was made to snuggle but he’s hot to sleep next to, even in the fall and winter! Originally designed for and marketed to pregnant moms or peri-menopausal women, MomCozy’s Cooling Comforter is also great for people whose dogs insist on sleeping with them.
The incredibly soft Cooling Comforter helps to physically cool your body thanks to advanced knitting technology and microfibers five times finer than silk. The high-grade microfibers are three times more breathable and water-wicking than cotton to keep you from waking up hot and sweaty even with your dog pressed right up against you.
Bob-A-Lot Interactive Dog Toy by StarMark ($14.26)
This is a toy that Oliver, Goldie, and Murphy love! Like the Snuffle Mat, the Bob-A-Lot Interactive Dog Toy engages active pups by wobbling along and dispensing treats as it goes. Goldie loves to push it around the house, trying to make it spill treats out of the bottom. The adjustable openings at the top and bottom accommodate dog food and allow you to regulate difficulty level. We have the large Bob-A-Lot that holds up to 3 cups of food but we only put a cup in at a time and turn Goldie and Murphy loose with it. FYI the toy does make a lot of noise as your dog pushes it around (especially if they use it on hardwood floors in a room above your home office!) but it’s a great toy to leave out for your dog when you leave home!
Foldable Human Dog Bed from Bedsure ($89 with $10 off coupon from Amazon)
Sometimes you just want to snuggle with your dog and this Foldable Human Dog Bed allows you to do just that. When folded, it’s the perfect napping spot for your dog but unfold it for 71” of lounge space for you and your dog. It features a washable cover, waterproof mattress cover, and is made of high-density egg crate support foam that evenly distributes weight for pressure relief and joint support for you and your furry friend. We don’t have this yet but it’s on my must-have list! I might just put it in my office!
Dachshund, Corgi, or French Bulldog Dog Ice Cube Mold ($13.99/set of 2)
Cheers to our dogs, especially dachshunds, corgis, and French bulldogs in the shape of ice! These adorable breeds make super cute ice cubes to bring joy to whatever the dog lover in your life is sipping. Made of food grade silicone, this set of two ice cube molds perfectly captures the details of your Dachshund, Corgi, or French Bulldog in ice form.
Comfort Cuddler Puppy Heartbeat Pillow by iHeartDogs ($24.99)
A stuffed animal that replicates a human heartbeat to lessen a dog’s anxiety may seem a little over the top unless you have a dog with anxiety! Before Murphy came into our life, we didn’t understand dog anxiety because our previous dog, Oliver, and current dog, Goldie, weren’t anxious pups. We rescued Murphy as a puppy so he gets very anxious when he’s away from Goldie or thinks we’re going to leave him so I think a Comfort Cuddler Pillow would be hugely helpful to lessen his anxiety when we’re not together.
The Comfort Cuddler Puppy Heartbeat Pillow is designed to help your pup with comforting calmness from a warm, cuddly friend with a heartbeat meant to ease their fears and offer general anxiety relief. Since dogs are pack animals who are instinctively drawn to their mother and others in their pack, this cuddly pillow pup recreates that intimacy and physical warmth while pulsing away with a simulated heartbeat. It’s perfect for helping dogs transition to a new home, learning how to be home alone, spending time in the kennel, or even fireworks and thunderstorms. This adorable toy is machine washable on the gentle cycle, just don’t forget to remove the heartbeat unit and heating pack.

The 2 lit straps that go all the way around our dogs’ bodies so they can be seen from all angles. Tree Lick Mat ($15.99) and Gourmet Peanut Butter ($13.99) from SodaPup
A lick mat and gourmet peanut butter from SodaPup.com brings joy and a sense of calm to dogs at the holiday when college students coming home for the holidays, visiting relatives from out of town, more delivery people coming to the door, travel, and a myriad of other changes to their routine can make them more anxious. Spread Gourmet Peanut Butter to a Tree Design Peace Lick Enrichment Mat to soothe and treat your pup this season. Lick mats are known to soothe and calm dogs through licking and promote fresh breath, healthy teeth, and gums. SodaPup also makes fun festive shapes of durable chew toys and treat dispensers, slow feeder bowls, tug toys, frisbees, and more! The Corn on the Cob Rubber Treat Dispenser is a longtime favorite of our dogs!

They also come in red or green as a nice stocking stuffer!
Thoughts of Dog Day to Day Calendar ($14.40 from Amazon)

Featuring a new thought every day on a tear off page, this calendar is worth waking up for each and every morning!
Furbo Dog Camera ($149 after a $61 coupon from Amazon, regularly $210)
Even though I work from home, I love being able to keep an eye on our dogs when I’m not with them. Furbo features a 1080p full HD camera with night vision that provides a 160-degree view of our home at any time of the day. I can pull up the Furbo feed via the app on my phone to see what Goldie and Murphy are doing, get push alerts when Furbo detects that they’re barking, talk to them through the app, and dispense treats with the push of a button. Furbo is incredibly easy to set up in 3 steps (simply plug it in, download the Furbo app, and connect it to your wifi) and provides peace of mind whether you’re leaving your pet for a grocery store run or for a day of work.
Snuffle Mat ($11.99, regularly $14.99)
Decrease dog boredom with this interactive snuffle mat that allows them to use their natural foraging skills to search for kibble and treats by scent. Our 8 year old pup, Goldie, loves this mat that can be cinched to tuck into her food dish or laid flat on the floor. We dump some kibble in it, shake it around, and turn her loose to find it. She buries her nose in it and pushes the green pieces around until she finds every last bit of food. The felt cloth pad features grippy dots on the bottom, is washing machine friendly, and highly portable.
Watercolor Pet Portrait ($84 and up)
Yes, really. I was given a watercolor pet portrait of Oliver years ago and it’s something that I treasure, especially now that he’s no longer with us. * sniff *
