You may have thought I vanished from the blogosphere since I haven’t posted in over a week. Simply not true.
I’ve been in Silicon Valley for a little vacay with the fam (hoping that Steve Jobs will just give me an iPhone to review because we’re neighbors) and taking a little side trip to SF for BlogHer.
BlogHer was amazing! 1000 bloggers, lots of love, great presentations, and more swag than you could possibly imagine. I got to hang out with the blogging women I know in real life, add virtual friends whose blogs I always read to my list of real friends, connect with my fellow Being Savvy city editors, meet tons of new bloggers, and reconnected with a friend from elementary school and another from college. I can’t even begin to describe the weekend of awesomeness here.
While the bloggy goodness of the conference was wonderful, another major highlight was meeting and talking to Sesame Street’s Grover in the Sesame Street Suite. Fuzzy and blue, Grover is just as delightful as one would imagine. My favorite conference swag would have to be the above picture with my BlogHer roomie Jessica, from A Parent in Silver Spring, and my very own personalized Sesame Street DVD.
Yes, I took home a DVD of me chatting with Grover where he sings happy birthday to Captain Computer who will turn 2 next week. And just to be fair (because Grover told me he’s all about fair!) he also sang happy birthday to Little Miss Techie even though it wasn’t her birthday. Little Miss Techie and Captain Computer have watched the DVD endlessly since I brought it home yesterday and still crack up every time they watch. Thanks Sesame Street! 🙂
While in the Sesame Street Suite, I got a sneak peet at their new soon-to-launch website. If you are eager for it to go live like I am, then be among the first to know by clicking here to fill out the form to be notified when the new site is live. I signed up and can’t wait to spend some more time on the website to see how it stacks up to all the other great educational sites my family knows and loves.
Just a couple more days and then I’ll be home to share the tech savvy things I learned and the swaggy love. I have some fab giveaways for the tech savvy, not so tech savvy, and completely unrelated to being tech savvy that I know you will love!
Thanks for reading Tech Savvy Mama through your feed!

I had a fantastic time hanging out with you and the other DC Metro Moms at BlogHer. It was such a fun weekend. Keep up the great work on you blog!
It was great to meet you at BlogHer! I did finally find some software to “break” into my Grover DVD so I could post it on the blog, but the audio is still crap. Ah well. 🙂
Hope you are recovered from that crazy weekend and bizarre Macy’s party!
You are the best roomie ever and thanks so much for being the better photographer! As well as the inspiring partner in crime and blogging diva. I love this pic with Grover and will cherish forever, thanks to you!

Miss you!
So happy to hear that you’ve had a great time! I hope to attend next year!!!
