Not all screen time is bad especially when it teaches kids in fun ways which is exactly what Odd Squad does. For the past year, Odd Squad’s Olive, Otto, Miss O, Oscar, and their friends have been solving strange happenings in the community using their math skills. The Odd Squad is like the kid-version of the CIA with dedicated agents who work to combat excessive oddness. As Olive, Otto, and crew work out problems in their futurist Mathroom, young viewers get the opportunity to see how cool math can be during each 11 minute episode.
If your kids are fans of PBS Kids’ Odd Squad then chances are they’ve already told you that Monday is the premiere of the brand new, Against the Odds. This hour long special contains a whopping five 11 minute stories featuring Olive, Otto, Miss O, Oscar, and their friends who solve the strange happenings in the community using their math skills. For new viewers, this is the chance to get your kids interested in math in a whole new way.
Check your local listings to tune in to Olive and Otto to catch these episodes during the special:
- Undercover Olive (Parts 1 and 2): In this half-hour episode, Olive goes undercover in a high-stakes “Rock, Paper, Scissors” game.
- The Curious Case of Pirate-itis: Otto and Oscar try to stop Olive from turning into a pirate.
